The SAVOYE project is TBAD’s celebration of geometric purity and timeless lifestyle elegance. Inspired by the idea that great architecture should both command attention and dissolve into its setting, SAVOYE balances bold structural gestures with interiors designed for everyday luxury. This project reaffirms TBAD’s belief that “SPACES” are not only built — they are orchestrated, layered, and lived in.
From the exterior, SAVOYE presents a series of interlocking volumes, clean horizontal planes, and expansive glazing that blur the boundary between built form and landscape. The house feels sculptural yet human, monumental in presence but intimate in experience. The precision of the architectural detailing ensures that every surface — from rendered planes to natural cladding — tells a story of craftsmanship and permanence.
Inside, the interiors are conceived as a flowing sequence of connected “SPACES.” The living areas are expansive but warm, designed with bespoke cabinetry, soft neutral palettes, and sculptural lighting that brings rhythm to the volumes. Furniture selections are understated yet refined, allowing materials, light, and proportion to take centre stage. SAVOYE’s interiors embody TBAD’s philosophy that luxury is found not in excess, but in refinement and balance.
The kitchen and dining areas are designed as the social heart of the home. A monolithic island anchors the kitchen, clad in rich natural stone, while hidden storage and integrated appliances preserve a sense of seamless minimalism. Overhead, a series of pendant lights become both functional elements and works of art, creating a dining environment that is both theatrical and intimate.
Bedrooms and private retreats within SAVOYE reveal the quieter side of the project. Floor-to-ceiling glazing frames garden and terrace views, while tactile finishes — timber, soft fabrics, layered lighting — cocoon residents in comfort. Bathrooms are treated as private sanctuaries, where marble, brass detailing, and curated lighting transform everyday rituals into moments of indulgence.
Outdoor living is central to SAVOYE’s identity. Terraces, landscaped gardens, and a pool court extend the interiors outward, allowing the architecture to breathe with the seasons. These external “SPACES” are curated for entertainment and reflection alike, demonstrating TBAD’s mastery in creating homes that support the rhythms of modern family life while elevating them into experiences of luxury.
SAVOYE is more than a residence; it is an architectural statement, a lifestyle environment, and a piece of art in itself. With this project, TBAD continues to push the boundaries of contemporary architecture and luxury interior design in South Africa, demonstrating once again why our ethos of Your Luxury, Your Lifestyle is more than a promise — it is a reality crafted into every detail.
